Everything You Need to Know About "Jujutsu Kaisen 0"

Jujutsu Kaisen's first movie "0" is premiering on March 18th, 2022! Jujutsu Kaisen fans have been waiting a year for more content and its finally here. Here's everything you need to know before (of after) watching the movie this week. Don't worry, we'll keep it quick, we know you're running to the theaters now!

It's the prequel to Jujutsu Kaisen.

The "0" movie is the prequel to Season 1 of JJK. So, we get to see more of Gojo's teaching, Geto's powers, and Inumaki's cursed speech. You get a closer look at the characters outside of the trio we know and love from Season 1. It also builds the foundation for JJK before it starts getting dark in the coming seasons.

The main characters won't be there ( :/ ).

We all love Megumi, Itadori, and Nobara but, unfortunately, we won't see them in the "0" movie. This makes sense, of course, being that it's the prequel to Season 1 but young Megumi tends to pop up here and there in the JJK manga (if you haven't seen him yet, look it up asap). However, the "0" volumes tend to focus more on Maki, Inumaki, and Panda's interactions with Yuuta as he joins Jujutsu High and it's just as satisfying.

There are four parts...

The "0" volume in the manga has 4 chapters (0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4) about the prequel of Season 1 of JJK. It is still unclear whether or not they will animate all of these chapters or even they are even considering it. But maybe if they see a good turnout for Part 1, they'll bless us with more content of our favorite second years as freshman and Gojo with that white blindfold.

Season 2 is just around the corner!

Although there isn't an official release date for JJK Season 2, we can expect to see it in 2023 - I know that sounds long but we can wait, right? Season 2 is stated to cover manga chapters 8-16 and the manga is still ongoing so if you just can't get enough after "0", you can find the manga anywhere online or in stores!

Now, you know everything there is to know about "0" before you watch it. If you want more content, you can find all 4 parts of the manga online and in stores, read the ongoing JJK manga, and check out some fan art here!
